SDHSAA Observation Standards

  • SDHSAA Basketball Observer’s for the Black Hills are: Dave Dolan, Jim Aberle, Kevin Bad Wound and Mark Naugle  (Observation Forms-Observer)
  • SDHSAA Basketball Active Officials Observer’s for the Black Hills are: Larry Osborne, Landon Arnold, Randy Stanton, Brad Booth, David Burnett, Dave Rogers, Nick Gottlob, Greg Schumacher, Duane McPherson and Mike Kirkeby  (Observation Forms-Active)

Region 10 Meeting Dates and Locations

Region Meetings must be completed  by January 15, 2019.  Certified officials must attend at least TWO of the Region meetings below to work post season. 

  1. Saturday, November 10, 2018 – New Officials Clinic – Rapid City Central HS– 10:45 a.m.
  2. Saturday, December 1, 2018 – Douglas HS– 9:00 a.m. Cancelled due to weather
  3. Wednesday, December 12, 2018 – Rushmore Plaza Civic Center (LNI)– 7:00 p.m.
  4. Wednesday, January 2, 2019 – Holiday Inn Express (Sturgis) – 7:00 p.m.
  5. Saturday, January 12, 2019– Rapid City Central High School – 10:00 a.m.

Important Dates

  1. Saturday, November 10, 2018 – New Officials Clinic – Rapid City Central HS – 10:45 a.m. (Does count as a Region Meeting)
  2. Saturday, November 10, 2018 – Review online Rules and Mechanics test – Rapid City Central HS – 11:45 a.m. (Does NOT count as a Region Meeting)
  3. Wednesday, November 28, 2018 – NFHS/SDHSAA Supervised Test – Rapid City Central – 7:00 p.m.
  4. Saturday, December 1, 2018 – SDHSAA Jamboree for Region 10 – Douglas High School – 9:55 a.m. (Contact Larry Osborne to sign up) Cancelled due to weather
